Survivor + Rock And Roll Never Forgets
Detroit, MI (August 10, 2018) – The Chevrolet Rockin’ on the Riverfront is back again this summer in Downtown Detroit. For the past 13 years, Chevrolet has brought the city of Detroit free concerts during the summer that has included a wide array of music. This week featured a Bob Seger tribute band called Rock and Roll Never Forgets and a band all everyone knows from the legendary Rocky movies, Survivor.

Week five of the 2018 Chevrolet Rockin’ On The Riverfront concert series kicked off with Rock And Roll Never Forgets. A tribute band of Detroit music legend, Bob Seger, they warmed up the crowd with some of Bob Seger’s well known hits such as “Hollywood Nights,” “Katmandu,” and “Mainstreet.” Winners of this year’s WCSX’s Rockin’ Wars, Rock And Roll Never Forgets set the tone for what was going to be a great evening in downtown Detroit.

Soon after singing along to some Bob Seger classics, Survivor took the stage. Playing classics such as “I Can’t Hold Back,” “Take You On A Saturday” and of course “Eye of the Tiger,” the new lead vocalist Cameron Barton fit right in. He captured the essence of the band perfectly never missing a note or beat. Frankie Sullivan, one of the original members of Survivor awed the crowd with his intricate guitar solos and energy.
The 2018 Chevrolet Rockin’ on the Riverfront continues Friday August 17 with War and Second Wind.
