Alton, Illinois (September 6, 2019) – On a clear summer night, the Liberty Bank Amphitheater in Alton IL was filled with concert goers ready to see St. Louis native, Nelly. Nelly started his music career in 1993 when he worked in a Midwest hip hop group, St. Lunatics. He then signed with Universal Records in 1999 and began writing the hits we all know and love.
As the time came closer for Nelly to take the stage, everyone filled up the amphitheater as they eagerly waited for him. This would be the first time in almost 2 years that Nelly had performed in the Metro East area and everyone was more than ready to hear his popular hits. As the lights went low the crowd came alive, and when Nelly walked out the crowd was at the barrier, moving to the music. Nelly performed hits such as Ride Wit Me, Country Grammar, and even his remix of Florida Georgia Line’s song Cruise.
Nelly has upcoming shows in Miami, FL, Marksville, LA, Yakima, WA, Portland, OR and Rock Island, IL for the month of September. Be sure to keep an eye out for a show near you and experience the hip hop legend himself!
