Nashville, Tennessee (November 7, 2018) – Following the back-to-back successes of his no. 1 debut and sophomore singles this year (“Yours,” “Blue Tacoma”), Triple Tigers platinum recording artist Russell Dickerson (2018 CMT, ACM Award nominee) and Big Machine Records’ chart-topping breakout female Carly Pearce (2018 CMT and Radio Disney Award winner) announced today they will be embarking on an 11-city U.S. tour early next year. Kicking off on January 24, 2019 from Cleveland, OH, country music’s favorite new faces music share more than a marquee. Finding themselves in the same songwriting circles earlier in their careers, they have supported each other along the way so their parallel successes make their tour all the more exciting. Tickets will go on sale for The Way Back Tour in your city on Nov. 9.
“Carly and I go way, way back and we have cheered each other on for years,” said the platinum recording artist. Russell also added, “Breaking onto the scene together has been such a fun ride, so we had to book a tour together to celebrate!”
“It’s crazy to think about eight years ago when Russell and I had a residency in Nashville together. Now, to see the evolution of our careers that have mirrored in so many ways is a dream come true,” said Carly. Adding, “Sometimes slow and steady wins the race, and I couldn’t be more proud of how far we’ve come.”

The Nashville-based multi-platinum recording artist and 2018 CMT and ACM nominee, Russell Dickerson, kicked off what quickly became his landmark year with two consecutive No. 1 singles as Billboard’s No.1_Emerging_Artist, a Spotify RISE artist and CMT’s 18 for 2018. With a deep understanding of the importance of authentic connection, Dickerson (named People Magazine’s “One to Watch,”) spends as much time on the road and with the fans who made “Yours” (featured in the hit “X-Men” franchise film “Logan” and repeatedly called the “biggest love song of the year”) the biggest love song of the year. The “hypnotic” (CMT) crooner is fresh off his run on Lady Antebellum and Darius Rucker’s “Summer Plays On” Tour, with plans to kick off his first co-headlining tour with Carly Pearce in January 2019. The singer/songwriter is the launch artist on Triple Tigers Records, a joint venture with Sony Music. Dickerson’s second single “Blue Tacoma” is still hot on country radio now.
Born into the bluegrass brawn of Kentucky, Carly Pearce has never known a moment that Country music wasn’t her destined path. She defied odds with her No. 1 debut “Every Little Thing,” which steered a chart-topping trifecta on SiriusXM’s The Highway, and solidified her as the highest charting solo female debut since July 2015. The success has parlayed into Carly winning a CMT Music Awards Breakthrough Video of the Year for “Every Little Thing” and Radio Disney Music Award The Freshest! – Radio Disney Country Best New Artist as well as an ACM Awards nomination for New Female Vocalist of the Year. People deemed her “the new voice of Country” and she proved their point, earning a coveted slot on four major tours in 2018 with Blake Shelton, Thomas Rhett, Rascal Flatts and Luke Bryan inspiring ABC News Radio to boasts: “’Every Little Thing’ points to Carly Pearce as country’s ‘it’ girl.” Carly is aligned once again with longtime collaborator busbee and has released a new single on Big Machine Records, “Closer To You,” which she will perform on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
