Detroit, Michigan (November 14, 2017) – This was not your typical Tuesday night in Detroit. Odesza’s sold out show literally shook The Detroit Masonic Temple with a dynamic and lively performance. The audience was primed and ready to go for the headliners by special guests Sofi Tukker, and Louis Futon.
The electronic musical duo, Odesza, from Seattle, WA then took the stage. Formed in 2012, their unique sound, always pushing the boundaries, has elevated their music into a class of its own. The young, vibrant crowd was drawn to the light show and continually danced to the exotic mix of rhythmic beats. The crowd went crazy as the show opened with a quick inspirational video from the title track of their third album “A Moment Apart.” It was clear to see that everyone in the audience was a die-hard fan, and the energy in the building had a positive, feel-good vibe. The atmosphere was a creative dress, energetic, expressive, and lively.
The crowd was like one big group of friends dancing together.
Songs from all three studio albums (Summer’s Gone, In Return, and A Moment Apart) were featured in tonight’s performance.
Songs performed were; “A Moment Apart”, “Bloom”, “I Want You”, “All We Need”, “Show Me”, “Say My Name”, “Light Night”, and “One Day They’ll Know.”
Highlights of the show included: an epic stage opening to “A Moment Apart”, and the drumline that followed. Stunning musical visuals with special effect lighting and electronic sounds caused the venue to shake with rhythmic beats. The show was temporarily delayed by a visit from the Fire Marshall as plumes of smoke spread throughout the main floor. The dynamic duo was not to be deterred as the show quickly resumed!!!
After an energy-filled night, the invigorated crowd left well satisfied.
Today, Odesza spends much of their time headlining music festivals with their unduplicated sound of chill electronic vibes.
