St. Louis, MO (October 2nd, 2019) – The Pageant buzzed as Judah & the Lion and flora cash prepared to take on the Pageant for second night. Judah & the Lion’s Pep Talks World Tour brought in a handful of fans for both nights. You could feel the excitement as many fans were seeing them for the first time and even for the second time.
The night started off with Swedish-American duo, flora cash. Their music consists of a unique combo of pop and alternative folk music. The duo consists of husband and wife, Cole Randall and Sphresa Lleshaj. The two met through Soundcloud and immediately began working as flora cash after they met in person. The duo has released two full albums, Nothing Lasts Forever and Can Summer Love Last Forever?. They kicked the night off with songs such as You Love Me and I Wasted You. They even performed their most recent single Missing Home. The duo put on an emotion filled performance and Sphresa’s vocals strongly stood out. They closed the set out with You’re Somebody Else, but that was after Sphresa taught the crowd some Swedish, her native language. Flora cash poured their hearts out on stage and gave the crowd emotion evoking music that was even enhanced by the stage lighting.
It was time for Judah & the Lion to take the stage for the second, and last time, in St. Louis. The Nashville based band consists of Judah Akers on guitar and vocals, Brian Macdonald on mandolin and vocals and Nate Zuercher on banjo and vocals. They performed a stacked setlist consisting of original hits and songs off their most recent album and reason for the tour, Pep Talks. They kicked their set off with a big entrance as they blocked the stage from the crowd and began playing. They started with songs from their new album such as Quarter-Life Crisis, Over My Head and i’m ok. The high energy that the set started kept going as they continued to play.
Judah & the Lion’s album before Pep Talks was Folk Hop n’ Roll and they played hits off of it like Conversations and Going to Mars. The overall energy that the group was able to keep up was amazing, especially since it was the second night that they did this. Judah & the Lion closed out the night but came out to give the crowd just a little more with an encore that included new songs off Pep Talks and their hit Take It All Back. Judah & the Lion held amazing stage presence and the lights they had for every song seemed to mix and make the show even better. This hard hitting folk band is one that you don’t want to miss!
The Pep Talks tour rocked St. Louis two nights in a row and anyone who missed it still has a chance to catch Judah & the Lion on another tour date. They continue their tour in the US until December and will even hit cities overseas! To find a date near you, check out the cities here!
