Traverse City, Michigan (November 26, 2017) – American country music legend, John Berry, warms the hearts of all in attendance of his Christmas Songs and Stories tour stop at City Opera House in Traverse City, Michigan, tonight.
Prior to performing John Berry met with several eager VIP fans, each holding beloved articles to have him add his signature to. John entered the Overture Room with guitar in hand and a genuine smile on his face; he sang songs, told life stories, answered questions, shook everyone’s hands and took time to autograph each and every item.
This is Berry’s 21st year doing the Christmas Songs and Stories tour. The first half of the show blessed us with timeless treasures of his top hits like “Kiss Me in the Car” and “Your Love Amazes Me”. After intermission, the theme changed to Christmas songs and stories.
John’s band consisted of his son Caelan Berry on drums and percussion, acoustic guitar player Michael C. Steele, fiddle player Josh Bell, Eric Barfield on keyboards, Brian Cameron on guitar, and lovely wife Robin Berry as a backup singer. John is best known for his breathtaking rendition of “Oh Holy Night” and “Joseph’s Lullaby”. Caelan wowed the audience with his amazing talent in “Little Drummer Boy”.
The two-hour show ended with John Berry reading the Bible and singing “The Lord’s Prayer” to a standing ovation. Overall, the combination of an inviting venue with a warm atmosphere, beautiful songs with Berry’s authentic and one of kind rich tenor voice, and his sincere warm passion toward his fans made the night truly heartwarming and memorable.
