Tracy Lawrence

Charlotte, North Carolina (January 19, 2018) – On this cold Friday evening the packed parking lot is swarming with people wearing their favorite cowboy hats, boots, and dressed in their favorite flannel shirts heading into Coyote Joes. As they swing open the doors you can hear the sounds of traditional country music blaring. Looking around you see hundreds of fans eager for a night of fun. Tonight, Tracy Lawrence is in town and everyone’s ready for a good show at the local honky-tonk!

Tracy Lawrence is an acclaimed country music artist who got his break in 1991 with his hit song “Sticks and Stones” after moving from Arkansas to Nashville, Tennessee. Tracy continued his success throughout the 1990’s and early 2000’s with other hits such as “Alibis“, “Paint Me a Birmingham“, “If the World Had a Front Porch” and “Texas Tornado“. Tracy has had a remarkable career; he has produced 18 #1 hits and has been nominated for Grammy, CMA and ACM awards. You can still find Tracy touring extensively all across the country or listen to him on his syndicated radio show “Honky Tonkin’ with Tracy Lawrence“.

At 9 pm the house band for Coyote Joes, “Out of the Blue“, kicked off the night playing top country hits from the last three decades. Blending the great musical talents of all band members, they share lead vocals to cover a variety of artists with upbeat boot stompers to your favorite ‘couples skate only’ slow dance songs. For a rocker like me, I was pleasantly surprised when they broke out with Ozzy Osborne’s “Crazy Train“; I wasn’t expecting that! OOTB is definitely a band that knows how to warm up a crowd for any headliner. After a one-hour set, the lights go dim and it’s time for Tracy!!

With a bang, Lawrence comes blazes the stage with his upbeat “If The Good Die Young“. Tracy goes back and forth, across the stage, driving the fans into a frenzy. The whole show is a roller coaster of emotion with hit after hit, bringing back memories from yesterday; the crowd singing along to each and every song. Tracy has the crowd take over lead vocals on his number one song “Time Marches On“. He paid tribute to one of his most influential artists, George Strait, by performing one of his hit songs, “Troubadour“.

The band, Joe Caverlee, Darin Favorite, Steve Poole, Tom Hurst, and Ben Guidry are right there with Tracy all night long. Their sleek guitar work, smooth sounds of the keys, bass, and drums got you bobbing your head and tapping your feet; the seductive sounds of the violin tied it all together perfectly. Tracy’s show encompasses all you want to embrace if you’re looking to take a trip back and remember the last days of real country music. His consistent, successful touring, along with a room filled with concert-goers of varying ages goes to show that his excellent music stands the test of time.
