Intense and with high energy, The Veer Union came on stage with a vengeance, blasting the crowd with heavy guitar riffs and enough head-banging to shake the ground. The high quality of Crispin’s vocals is evidence of a rocker devoted to his art, and the live performance was so good, it was as if you were listening to the album with head phones on. The live experience was further supported by a band that is as tight and sharp as a razor blade. From the first shred of the guitar, you instantly recognize this band’s collaborative talent far exceeds many others. Not letting down for an instant and giving 120%, The Veer Union played songs from the new album such as Embrace the Day and Living Not Alive which riled the crowd raising metal horns and yelling to the top of their vocal cords, “Veer Union”! A mix of older material such as their first single Seasons, as well as Divide the Blackened Sky, Brave the impossible and Defying Gravity. The closer was a Linkin Park medley paying tribute to the late Chester Bennington where Crispin deeply connects dealing with his own personal struggles. You can check out their critically acclaimed acoustic cover of Numb, which showcases Crispin’s power and perseverance.
