Grand Rapids, Michigan (February 3, 2018) – After kicking off his 2018 headlining tour the night before, Morgan Wallen brought his Up Town Tour to The Stache in Grand Rapids, Michigan for a sold-out show tonight.

The Stache is the newest and latest venue in Grand Rapids and is located in the front room of the legendary concert lounge, The Intersection.  Arranged as its own concert lounge the room is set up for smaller crowds than those in the bigger room out back.  With ticket sales quickly being absorbed, there was never a question of his sell-out status.

Morgan began singing at the age of three, singing inside his father’s church in central northern Tennessee where he shows his early indications of his future.  Although putting more emphasis on baseball in his teens until tendon damage in his elbow sidelines his sporting career, Morgan returns to music where he begins his skills in songwriting and singing only to his mother.

In 2014, Morgan auditions for The Voice after being coerced by his mother where he joins Team Usher and Team Levine before being eliminated in the playoffs.

Before making his stage appearance at The Stache, Morgan’s tour partner Ray Fulcher gets the crowd pumped up with an 11-song set full of covers and his own originals. Singing “Bad Habits” and his hit single “Almost” from his EP Here We Go Again, Ray adds s new song “When You Drink I Do”.

Moving to Nashville in 2014, the east Georgia native signed a publishing deal with River House Artists/Warner Chappell Nashville.  As part of his songwriting, Ray scored eight co-songwriting songs on Luke Comb‘s debut album This One’s For You including the current single “When It Rains It Pours”.

Along with a few of Luke’s covers, Ray includes other covers during his set that include Chris Janson‘s  “Buy Me a Boat” and Eric Church‘s “Guy’s Like Me”.

With the crowd warmed up and in full party mood, they welcome Morgan to the stage as he enters with his party anthem “Boots on the Ground”.

Covering songs from his debut EP The Way I Talk, Morgan includes “Chain Smokin’” and “Whiskey Glasses” before dedicating “American Nights” to the military and other uniformed officials.  Adding more heat to a fired up crowd, they assist with backup vocals to Morgan’s debut single “The Way I Talk”.

Although Morgan has only released a debut EP, consisting of five songs, he has written more than enough songs to put together a full-length studio album. In the meantime, he will continue to add more originals to his show as he does for his fans in Grand Rapids that includes a song “Had Me by Halftime” and “Redneck Love Song” that will be his next single being released later this summer.

As a songwriter himself, Morgan adds a few songs he has penned for other artists as the crowd cheers on with the Dustin Lynch cover of “Party Song” and the new Jason Aldean single, “You Make It Easy”.

With the crowd in a wild party mood, Morgan turned it up with a medley of rock hits that added “In The End” by Linkin Park, “Life In The Fast Lane” by Eagles, “You Give Love A Bad Name” by Bon Jovi, “Use Somebody” by Kings Of Leon, “Sugar, We’re Going Down” by Fall Out Boy and “Pour Some Sugar On Me” by Def Leppard.

Closing out the high energy show, Morgan concludes with his current crowd favored hit song “Up Down” that he recorded with country duo Florida Georgia Line.

As Morgan leaves the stage it becomes time to pack up and move on to the next stop along his headlining tour across the country.  Morgan will join Jon Pardi as they run support on Luke Bryan‘s What Makes You Country Tour later this summer.
