Marshmello + Said the Sky + Yultron @ The Detroit Masonic Temple, Detroit, MI
Detroit, Michigan (January 19, 2018) – Marshmello, with special guests, Yultron and Said the Sky, blew everyone away with epic performances at The Detroit Masonic Temple tonight. This sold-out concert was one no EDM fan wanted to miss!
Yultron was the first of the three to get us going tonight. Yultron, a producer, singer/songwriter, and rapper from Los Angeles, CA, has gained quite a following since the release of his EP “Sushi, Friends & Everything Awesome”. Yultron has amassed millions of plays on Soundcloud and YouTube; as soon as Yultron walked across the stage it was no surprise as to why. Not only did Yultron begin the show with a bang by remixing popular songs, but he had the courage to transform the theme song from The Office into a catchy beat.
Next up was Said the Sky, also known as Trevor Christensen. Trevor is an American EDM DJ/ producer and musician. Trevor has gained a large following on his social media, especially Soundcloud, with almost 90k follower. “Faith has remained high on the list of Said the Sky’s fan favorites. He lights up the room with his flawless melodies. When most concerts would start to slow down, Said the Sky brought up energy from me that I did not know I had. I had completely forgotten how much my feet were hurting when I started dancing to his rendition of Owl City’s “Fireflies”. The vibrant lights gliding from the stage to the audience put everyone in a trance.
Just when you thought you couldn’t take anymore, the man we’ve all been waiting for takes over! Marshmello, the masked DJ/ producer, who wears a marshmallow helmet and whose name remains a mystery, blew up in 2015 when he began releasing remixes of popular songs online. Marshmello’s ability to take songs that had dried out from being overplayed on the radio, and make them fresh and exciting is astounding. Throughout the show, everyone was on their feet with a smile on their face and the vibrant lights gliding from the stage to the audience put everyone in a trance. Fans singing along to every song that played, with the bass so loud it literally shook the floor of The Detroit Masonic Temple. Marshmello’s set included three of his most popular songs, “Wolves” (feat. Selena Gomez), “Silence” (feat. Khalid) and one of his biggest solo hits, “Alone”.
