Delta Rae Revival at the Basement Nashville Residency

Nashville, Tennessee (July 18, 2018) – Kicking off the first Wednesday in September, the American Folk Rock band Delta Rae will be shaking the walls of one of Nashville’s well-known music venues, The Basement (1604 8th Ave. S. in Nashville).  The native North Carolina group has announced a 16-week residency, performing every Wednesday night, beginning September 5 and wrapping up the night of December 19.  A limited amount of tickets are available online now for $10, while the remainder will be sold at the door for those who get their first.  Tickets can be purchased online here – https://www.deltarae.com/

Delta Rae’s music has a way of speaking to your soul, like an early Sunday morning Service.  With combo lead vocals from Brittany Holljes and Liz Hopkins, along with the raw and organic instrumental sound of Mike McKee (drums), Grant Emerson (bass), Eric Holljes (vocals, keys), and Ian Holljes (vocals, guitar), you’re bound to be moving way more than a tapping foot.  The live show will consist of a new set from week-to-week, along with special guests and new music.

“We have always had two sides to our sound,” explained Delta Rae member Brittany Holljes. “Liz sings warm summer love songs and by contrast I give voice to our swampy, mysterious tracks. The core of our inspiration is the power of that contrast. It’s Light and Dark, Good and Evil, Life and Death. This Revival experience will play off those forces in a way to give our audience both butterflies and goosebumps. We promise it will deliver on everything Delta Rae does best. It’s by far the most creative and exciting show we’ve ever crafted.”

Storytelling and southern magic have always been part of the Holljes siblings’ upbringing. Since signing to The Valory Music Co., Delta Rae has released two EPs – A Long And Happy Life, and The Blackbird Sessions, which produced the single “No Peace in Quiet.”

Before planting their roots in Nashville this autumn, Delta Rae will spend the summer on the road for headline dates and festivals across the country such as Faster Horses in Brooklyn, MI on July 21, Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN on July 25, and Watershed in Deming, WA on August 5.
