The Driver Era + Handgrenades @ The Majestic, Detroit, MI

Detroit, Michigan (April 13, 2019) – Tonight, the Majestic Theatre in downtown Detroit, Michigan hosted the Driver Era with support from Handgrenades for an impeccable performance.

Starting off the night, Handgrenades took the stage. The four man group consisting of Andrew Pawelski, Nick Chevillet, Jesse Shepherd-Bates, and Joby Kaslowski absolutely blew everyone away. Whether or not the crowd walked in knowing who they were or not, everyone left a fan. The indie rock group included 2018 single “Vampires and Freaks” and a couple songs off their album Tunnels released in 2017 such as “Daily Routine” and “The Watcher”.

Next up to the stage, the Driver Era. The alternative pop/ rock duo consisting of brothers Rocky and Ross Lynch was officially formed in 2018 after the end of their previous band R5. Once the lights went down, all you could hear was the screams of excitement from thousands of fans. The show began with the iconic Queen Ay-Oh which set the bar high for the performance to come, and I’m glad to say they did not disappoint. From the moment they stepped on stage through their entire set the energy in the room was at an all time high. The crowd was dancing and screaming along to all of the lyrics without a care in the world. Their set included a magnificent cover of “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” and all four of their current released singles, “Afterglow”, “Preacher Man“, “Feel You Now”, and my current favorite “Low”.
