Windsor, Ontario, Canada (July 26, 2019) –Everyone knows the guitar riffs and solos that Slash has carefully crafted over the course of his career. He is an absolute force of nature with his creativity; and his music bears his fingerprints of ripping blues tones, blistering solos, and wah-pedal goodness. Slash’s fingers move so fast along the fretboard it hurts the brain sometimes to keep pace with his intricate playing. It’s certainly one thing to talk about the quality of his play, and another to see it in action.

Caesar’s Windsor hosted Slash with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators on Friday to a rowdy, sold-out crowd who left the Coliseum Arena with smiles and a little more tinnitus. In addition to the Alter Bridge front man Kennedy, the backing heroes found in The Conspirators comprise of bassist Todd Kerns, drummer Brent Fitz and rhythm guitarist Frank Sidoris, who each make up a strong, integral backbone to the group. The outstanding crowd favorites of the night were “Back From Cali,” “You’re a Lie,” and the new single from the album Living the Dream, “Driving Rain”. Personally, the song “The One You Loved Is Gone” was the best performance of the night. Kennedy excels lyrically on this track with a weighty performance topped off with a solo from Slash that is equally impressive. Mixed in around The Conspirators songs were the Todd Kearns sung “Doctor Alibi,” which was the track that was originally done with Lemmy Kilmeister from Motorhead.   Of course,no Slash show would be complete without at least one Guns N’ Roses track and the band chose to perform the classic “Nightrain,” off of the incredible Appetite for Destruction album. As it turns out, Living the Dream is not only the sarcastic album title about the state of the world right now, but also the mantra for Slash’s enjoyment of making records and playing these songs live!
