First Thursday of Live On The Green 2018

Live on the Green is a free annual concert series hosted by Nashville’s independent radio station, Lightning 100. Concerts are held every Thursday in August at the Public Square Park in the heart of downtown Nashville, where fans can take in the music as they sample local food trucks. The series ends each year with a three-day finale show to kick off Labor Day weekend.

This 10th year was kicked off with performances by Roscoe & Etta, Mt. Joy, The Wood Brothers, and Dispatch. Dispatch was brought back to headline this Thursday’s set after tornado warnings forced a shut down a night of free music last year. But instead of letting the weather harsh their tunes, Dispatch put on a private show for some fellow patrons in the parking garage under the square. This year they finally got to play. Despite Mother Nature deciding to bring in some weather again, it didn’t stop the diehard fans from dancing to some heady jams in the rain.
Next Thursdays bands set to go on is Cold War Kids, Car Seat Headrest, Colony House and *Repeat Repeat. You can find the following bands and schedule times on the Live on the Green site.
